The Chakra System
Many chakra systems are recognized around the globe.

Reiki practitioners often focus on seven main energy centers along the body:
the crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and root chakras.
There are also other chakras in the torso and limbs, above the head, and below the feet.
​
Some Candid Sphinx healing sessions incorporate five more of these centers:
the stellar gateway, soul star, causal, higher heart, and earth star chakras.
Stellar Gateway: the chakra of universal consciousness, it sits about a foot above the head and is molten gold in color. Here we experience true oneness, fuse directly with source, and transcend space-time.
Soul Star: called the seat of the soul, this chakra is magenta and rests some inches above the head. It's linked to our subconscious mind and highest self, and stores the soul's memories, intentions, and talents.
Causal: pearly white, this chakra at the back of the head is a sophisticated conduit between us and the higher realms. It connects us to feminine and angelic energies, and broader spiritual horizons.
Crown: lilac laced with white and gold, this chakra sits atop the head. It is a first junction between the physical and divine, and where we tune into higher states of consciousness and temper the ego mind.
Third Eye: between the eyebrows at the forehead, this chakra is of whirling indigo and deep gold. It's the bodily center of intuition, imagination, trust, and lucidity, and where we harness our clairsenses.
Throat: vibrant blue, this chakra is centered in the neck and spans from the eyes to the collar bone. It's the chakra of expression, communication, individuality, and truth. It represents our unique vibration.
Higher Heart: this teal chakra rests between the throat and heart center at the thymus gland, and is said to be the seat of the immune system. Here we find empathy, the purest divine love, and authentic passion.
Heart: at the middle of the chest, this green chakra streaked with pink is the physical home of our highest aspect, a bridge between us and our divine nature. Love of self and others sans expectation reigns here.
Solar Plexus: this canary yellow chakra of personal power, will, and vitality sits above the navel.
From here we take action, and embrace our dignity, innate worth, and ability to enjoy responsibility.
Sacral: below the navel, this orange chakra represents pleasure, creativity, freedom, and abundance. It is also linked to sexuality, fertility of mind and body, manifestation, receptivity, and sociability.
Root: cherry red and at the base of the spine, this chakra relates to existence and survival. It's where we ground ourselves into the physical plane, and hold beliefs about vulnerability, independence, and safety.
Earth Star: red-orange, black, or swirling hues of both, this chakra is under the feet and often rests below ground. It syncs us to nature's global consciousness and relates to our soul's potential in this incarnation.
